Join us on Thursday 18 June to honour and celebrate the life of Peter Over, Old Framlinghamian (Garrett 1979), former Governor and true Gent of Suffolk.
Gents of Suffolk v Albert XI & BBQ Fundraiser
From 11:00 onwards the Framlingham College Albert XI will be taking on the Gents of Suffolk in our annual fixture. However, to mark the occasion and in honour of Peter this will be the inaugural match playing for The Peter Over Trophy, which we hope will continue long into the future. All are welcome to come and watch at any stage of the day.
After the game Framlingham College will be hosting an informal drinks reception followed by a sit-down BBQ supper in the Fowler Pavilion. In keeping with our recent ‘Centurion’ themed fundraiser which has seen the College raise funds to rebuild the prep school pavilion and build a new outdoor net facility at the senior school, our aim is to host 10 tables of 10 as we seek to raise funds to create a landmark in perpetuity at Framlingham in honour of Peter.
BBQ Fundraiser - The Peter Over Way
The Peter Over Way:
Our aim is to modify the route from the Fowler Pavilion alongside The Back and overlooking Inskips hockey pitch which would continue down the steps and onwards towards the entrance to our new outdoor net facility. It is a route that brings together the cricket and hockey facilities at the College and one which every pupil at Framlingham College as well as many visitors to the College undertake on daily basis and which will be fittingly named ‘Peter Over Way’ with plaques alongside the Fowler Pavilion and besides the new net facility.
Support The Peter Over Fund:
Tables of 10 are available at £250 to cover food and beverage costs. Our aim is to raise £500 per table (this can be added to the cost of a table) or £50 per guest for the ‘Peter Over Way’ fund, please email Andrew Cook via acook@framlinghamcollege.co.uk to discuss further.
