Supporting Framlingham College

It is crucial, more than at any time in our history, that we look to our philanthropic heritage to develop a sustainable financial model which will preserve long into the future the multi-cultural and socio-economic diversity that has been at the heart of producing such well-rounded and outstanding Framlinghamians.

Like all schools in the independent sector, Framlingham is currently experiencing the biggest challenge in its history. The present political and economic climate in the UK is having a game changing impact on the independent schools’ market and it is a desperate reality the arbitrary policies adopted by the current government, will inevitably result in some historically successful independent schools closing their doors due to a lack of financial sustainability, with funds available for bursaries and scholarships in those schools which remain, likely to be severely impacted. For this reason we have created a document outlining our aims and the rationale behind our approach, please do take a few minutes to read our Case for Support.

With such a diverse pupil population and access to a broad range of facilities and expertise, there is the ability to provide support in line with your own philanthropic interests, be they within academia, the creative or performing arts or sport.

The 1864 Club

We recognise that those considering supporting the Foundation will have a number of personal financial commitments in many cases alongside an existing philanthropic portfolio.

With that in mind, we have created a range of philanthropic levels for donors considering a one off donation. Each philanthropic level enjoys a range of benefits over and above the social impact the College can deliver. If you can consider joining our 1864 Club, for donors able to donate £10,000 and over, please contact Andrew Cook to discuss any specific requirements you may have.

Regular Giving

Become a member of our regular giving community by committing to a regular gift of £18.64 per month, £186.40 per quarter of £1,864 per year for a predetermined period, alternative amounts are also gratefully received. By combining modest regular gifts from groups of donors, the collective power of giving could support a fully funded place. For example if 14 OF's from one leaving year group combined their regular giving and donated £186.40 / month, we could fund a 100% transformational bursary place - could you year group be the first to have this honour?

Legacies: The Albert Society

Framlingham College was founded in 1864 as a memorial to Prince Albert, the aptly named Albert Society has been created to recognise and thank, during their lifetime, those who generously bequeath a gift to the College in their Will.

For more information about The Albert Society and our Legacy campaign please visit our Legacy Brochure. If you have included Framlingham College in your Will, or intend to do so, we would be grateful if you could complete a Legacy Notification Form. This is not legally binding, but it will help with the College’s long-term planning. Importantly, it will also enable us to thank you properly for your gift during your lifetime. If you would like to add a gift to Framlingham College to your existing Will then please download our Codicil Form and inform your solicitor.
