The Old Framlinghamian of the Year (OFoY) initiative, has been created to celebrate OFs exceptional achievements in either their field of work or through charity, sport, the arts, or social and political activities. Each year four OFs will be recognised during an awards ceremony, which will be held on campus at Framlingham College.
The OFoY will become part of a wider OF Day which will comprise sporting fixtures and careers talks and act as a platform for year group and / or house reunions.
The event will provide an opportunity to:
> Publicly celebrate extraordinary achievements across the OF community.
> Create an initiative which brings the OF community together to celebrate each other's success.
> Bring Old Framlinghamians back to the College.
> Inspire current pupils and provide reference points for networking and advice.
> Promote the excellence within the alumni community to prospective parents.
> Inspire potential donors to support the College in their future campaigns.

Communications will go out to all OFs asking for nominations and a citation as to why they have nominated a particular OF, alongside which, the Development Office and The Society of Old Framlinghamians will also research potential nominees. All nominations will be sent to and collated by the Director of Development.
Once a longlist of nominations is received the Director of Development alongside the College Principal and representatives of the OF Society will create a shortlist of candidates.
A panel made up of the Director of Development, President of the OF Society and Chair of Trustees from the Society of Old Framlinghamians Charitable Trust, will select three nominees from the shortlist, with the fourth and final recipient being selected by U6 pupils of Framlingham College.
Hosted at Framlingham College, the evening will comprise an awards ceremony, which is open to OFs, Staff, Parents and U6 pupils. During the ceremony, guests will be given the opportunity to learn more about our OFoY award recipients experiences and accomplishments since leaving Framlingham College.
The awards ceremony will be followed by a dinner in the College dining room for all those attending the awards ceremony.

We know that many Old Framlinghamians make a real difference across communities throughout the world in a variety of ways, and we are looking to recognise four OF’s annually who have made a positive impact in their industry, chosen field of endeavour or wider community and who uphold the College’s philosophy of developing in each student the knowledge and skills required to thrive as good global citizens post their time at Framlingham.
