The Old Framlinghamian of the Year (OFoY), has been created to celebrate OFs exceptional achievements in either their field of work or through charity, sport, the arts, or social and political activities.
Each year four OFs will be recognised during an awards ceremony, which this year will be held on Saturday 23rd May 2026 during the cricket lunch interval on OF Day at Framlingham College.
The event will provide an opportunity to:
> Publicly celebrate extraordinary achievements across the OF community.
> Brings OFs back to the College to celebrate each other's success.
> Inspire current pupils providing reference points for networking and advice.
> Promote excellence within the alumni community to prospective parents.
> Create a touchpoint for current pupils to engage with the Society during their final year at Framlingham College.
> Communications will go out to all OFs asking for nominations and a citation as to why they have nominated a particular OF, alongside which, the College will research potential nominees. All nominations will be emailed to and collated by the Colleges Development Office.
> Once nominations have been received a panel made up of senior staff and our two head pupil's will select an initial shortlist of six candidates.
> Once the shortlist has been agreed, the Framlingham College Principal, The Director of Development and a member of Council from the Society will select three final OFoY winners from the shortlist of six.
> The remaining three nominees will form the shortlist for Year 13 pupils to select the final remaining OFoY award winner.
> The four OFoY award recipients will be announced during OF Day on Saturday 23rd May.
